Images are very important when it comes to blogs and social engagement. Statistics prove that when a post on a website or other social network has an image with it, gets more much engagement than one that doesn’t have an image. Therefore, it is highly recommended that every post your write on your website, has an image attached to it.
Wordpress has a built-in feature that allows you to do this. When the Featured Image is set, anywhere that post appears on the front-end of your website, that image will appear with it. This image also can come up in search engines, so it’s important to give it an appropriate name, description and/or caption.
