In order to make changes to your website, the first thing you need to do is log in to your website and access the admin area.

To login, visit [http://yourdomain/wp-login.php]. Replace yourdomain with your website domain name (example.com, example.org). You will then need to enter your login credentials. These credentials were set up when the site administrator installed Wordpress. If you do not have those credentials, contact the site administrator or use the Lost Your Password function. This function will send you a password reset link, where you can set a new password. Be sure to store your password somewhere safe, or email it to yourself so that it will always be in your email database.

To login:

  1. Visit http://yourdomain/wp-login.php [Replace yourdomain with your website domain name (example.com, example.org)]
  2. Enter login credentials. Click Log In. You will then be redirected to the main dashboard.
  3. NOTE: When you log in for the first time, tell your browser to remember the password for the website. Depending on your browser, it will usually give you a prompt at the top or a pop up.
